-Mermaids are beings which have the top half of a girl or women and the bottom half of a fish. Mermen are the same except the  top half is a boy or man. Mermaids are believed to sing enchanting songs and lure sailors to there deaths.These mermaids are known as Sirens.Mermaids and mermen don't have any known enemies and are usually are quite peaceful creatures. I don't know much about mermaids myself, so this isn't a finished article.
